Simple. It improves air quality, makes everywhere look tidy, and helps reduce allergies for those of us who are more sensitive to it. During the pandemic, Health Canada and the CDC recommended HEPA filters to help reduce dust particles and prevent the spreading of COVID19.
Having a lot of dust around electronice devices could have a negative impact on their performance – particularly due to plugging vent holes or developing a layer on top of the components. This prevents heat transfer due to ventilation which at the least reduces the performance and efficiency of electronic devices.
How many Types of Dusting are Available in an Office Setting?
Regular dusting is done up to 7’ with an extender to the duster.
High Dusting is anything above 7’ height and requires other tools or machinery such as ladders or cherry picker machines to assist with reach.

- Dusting is done by having “Start High and Finish Low” in mind.
- We start by using a professional duster with an extender.
- We dust all surfaces, including desks, shelves, electronics, and other high-touch areas.
- Arelli crews use microfiber cloth in different colours for different areas to prevent cross contamination and change cloths frequently.
- Team members are coached to fold the microfiber cloth twice. This will create 8 surfaces that could be rotated between to - ensure no cross contamination during the process.
- We pay attention to areas like electronics and behind monitors.
- For deep cleans and when requested, compressed air cannisiters are used to help get the dirt and loose particles out of keyboards and other hard to reach areas.
