1. Determining What Needs to be Cleaned & Disinfected and When

If the area hasn’t been occupied for more than seven days, normal routine cleaning would apply as the SARS-CoV-2 virus has not been shown to survive on surfaces beyond this time. Beyond this, frequently touched “Hard and Non-Porous Surfaces” like Metal, Glass, Wood, or Plastic” surfaces would need routine cleaning and disinfection.
These surfaces will include:

  • All Door Knobs
  • Tables
  • Fridge and Microwave Handles
  • Countertops
  • Light Switches
  • Faucets and Sinks
  • Vending Machine Buttons
  • Phones
  • Washrooms
  • Toilets
  • All other routinely touched surfaces

Soft or porous objects should be should be cleaned with soap and water or cleaners appropriate for use on those surfaces or if possible, laundered according to manufacturer’s requirements. They can also be directly disinfected using an EPA or Health Canada approved disinfectant. (See here)

2. Selecting and Handling Disinfectants

Arelli has partnered with ECOLAB to ensure all crew members are using a Health Canada approved cleaner and disinfectant. As of the date of this policy, the Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner 14543 (DIN 02342820) is the benchmark for performance. This chemical allows cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing of surfaces in one step. For emergency response situations, Arelli utilizes ECOLAB Peroxide Multi Surface Cleaner and Disinfectant(DIN 02412314)

3. When Fogging can help

When an exposure to SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed, Arelli will offer Ultra Low Volume (ULV) fogging to the customer as an extra service. The fogging process will include the application of a Health Canada registered Organic Disinfectant utilizing equipment dispersing droplet sizes between 10 – 30Microns. This increases the effectiveness and efficiency of the disinfection process extending disinfection beyond frequently touched points.

4. Keeping in line with Public Health guidelines

Arelli follows Public Health Ontario guidelines (See Here) and local bylaws and publications to ensure compliance.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the same cleaning crew member be assigned to your location each time?
Yes! We want you to be able to build trust and confidence in our professional cleaning services. That means we do everything we can to maintain a highly consistent clean, including by assigning the crew member most familiar with your facility and its needs to conduct your cleaning. Over time, you’ll get to know the cleaning crew as an extended member of your team, giving you a better understanding of what to expect.
What determines the cost of professional cleaning services?
The two main factors in the pricing of professional cleaning services are the travel cost of getting to the facility and the actual time spent at the facility to conduct the cleaning. This is why searching for office cleaning services near your facility is an important way to ensure reasonable prices. With Arelli, you can also choose to have your cleaning services occur on a custom schedule that works for your budget, whether that means weekly or monthly.
What do commercial cleaning services entail?
When you choose to proceed with commercial cleaning services for your facility, you can expect a deep clean during the initial visit. After that, each visit will involve a thorough cleaning of all visible surfaces, as well as those spaces that are often neglected. Commercial janitorial services can also include steam cleaning of carpets, pest control, and more.
