How Could Technology Help in the Cleaning Industry?
Ever wonder why cleaning hasn’t received the same amount of automation that other services have? Probably because despite common belief – it’s quite a complex tax when considering all of the variables. Having said this, we do believe that robot cleaners will be successful with helping commercial cleaning services in larger facility settings that have a lot of repetitive work.
Also and eventually, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) for cleaning will find their way into sensitive facilities like hospitals and military establishments sooner or later.
Until they do, it’s important that current day commercial cleaning companies focus on the gaps when serving clients and attempting to clean their offices, retail spaces, warehouses, medical facilities, schools, , dental offices, or manufacturing facilities, or government buildings.
Doing so starts by having technology help with the process of planning, enhancing communication, increasing operational accuracy, sharing best practices, and improving accountability.
This is why we set up a up a team of systems engineers, project managers, and senior developers to create our own Advanced Commercial Cleaning Management System or ACCMS in 2018 and succeeded and finalizing it May 2023.
By combining a state of the art CRM, Cloud Storage, and our in-house developed mobile app we have connected our crews, management team, field operations and clients in real time.
Our office cleaning smartphone app empowers cleaning crews to get updates on concerns at their jobsites, receive helpful tips, report any concerns they see and submit quality reports.
Our clients can engage us too on pretty much the entire scope of services they signed up for – albeit if they choose to as this is totally optional.

How did COVID-19 Impact Office Cleaning Standards?
Back in the day, our team got together to and combined best practices from COVID-19 Cleaning and Disinfecting Standards from Health Canada and Safety Precautions in Cleaning and Disinfecting for COVID-19 from the Center of Disease Control in the United States to make sure nothing was short of excellent in our disinfection services.
We now use Health Canada approved disinfectants as standard practice. Additionally, we adjusted our cleaning schedules to follow COVID-19 Cleaning and Disinfecting standards and include disinfection of frequently touched areas using single strokes of wiping in the same direction.
We now recommend Improving Indoor Ventilation, and the usage of HEPA filters to ensure the concentration of any airborne pathogens are reduced.
